License Plate Recognition (LPR) is a technology to recognize vehicles number plates and manage entry & exit automatically without using the access card, ticket, identification card (IC) or driving license if you are a visitor to the guarded & gated community.

When a vehicle approaches the barrier gate, the LPR supported camera will capture/scan the vehicle license plate number. LPR System recognizes data from the license plate and compares the images captured with the data of authorized vehicles. Once the data is matched, the barrier gate will rise to let the car goes through. The LPR System saves information together with a picture of a car plate, the date & time.

LPR camera also known as license plate capture camera, is a specialized type of video surveillance camera embedded with LPR Software, designed to capture numbers and letters of license plates on still or moving vehicles. Besides, it has built-in infrared illuminator that enhances images captured, especially during night time operation.

With the implementation of the Smart LPR system, we can prevent the entrance of unauthorized vehicles into our residential area. This system is able to organize automatically opening of the rising barrier gate at the entrance and exit to and from the residential area.

Thus, we can ensure the safety of our residents, reduce staff costs and eliminate the tedious process of manually recording number plates. Secondly the LPR data can be easily searched by entering either a number plate or registered visitor’s name. Alternatively, we can search according to date and time for vehicles entering or leaving with the associated overview images from the LPR camera.

Yes. Our system uses M4U Smart LPR camera with 30M infrared illuminators to highlight the number plate in the dark, thus ensuring its recognition.

Yes. The M4U Smart LPR camera we used in our system supports wide dynamic range pro (WDR Pro) to handle the extreme lighting. This feature adjusts the image so that the number is perfectly readable.
